I’m going to have to try this, I never thought to add ruffles for dusting…

Not appealing to me (I’m still getting used to the regular granny stitch), but I know you like knew stitches to play with, T. :)

One way to cut and crochet.
The pattern I used for this scarf was from Raverly. It looks complicated, but it works up very nicely until you take a wrong turn. If one should take a wrong turn, you end up with a right angle instead of a straight line. I have been using very fibrous yarn and have had to cut off my right turns and begin again. I will post a pic when I finish.
