A crafting pause

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

Woo! It rocks to be me at the moment. I’ve got several more scarves to photograph, but probably won’t feel up to it for several more days (aka when the antibiotics kick in). Currently occupying myself with a squishy Malabrigo single crochet scarf, though. I love that yarn, and I think its nature (single ply) applies itself well to crochet.

If it ever comes to the point where I’m only able to do a couple of knitting/crochet projects a year, I’d do them in this yarn! Definitely top of my list for refilling my stash once I burn through its current contents. Unless I learn to spin, which is a whole ‘nother pony. >.>;

A fun and enlightening exercise

Okay, so maybe not *fun*, but I found it fascinating enough that I continued to do it way beyond my original intentions (finding out how much it costs to travel to our nearest Post Office):

gascosts

The terms nearmart and farmart are my husband’s way of identifying the WalMarts in our area, because for some reason he does not know/refuses to accept “downtown” as a term. :P

This makes me very glad that we’re good at combining trips, and that pog is willing to do errands after work sometimes.

Shame on me

I have been cleaning and rearranging things as it is raining outside. I have quite a collection of craft books. Shame on me for having too many- NOT!
